How it all started...
Waterstone Church was started in Warrior, Alabama in the 1800’s as Warrior Baptist Church. It was renamed Warrior Missionary Baptist Church and then renamed again as First Baptist Church of Warrior. In 2007, it was renamed again and is now known as Waterstone Church. Many in the past have given excellent leadership to bring us to where we are today. Our present Pastor, Jerrel Brown came to Waterstone in November of 1999 and has led Waterstone Church to the present. While “Baptist” was dropped from the church name, we remain a part of the Southern Baptist Convention and believe the tenets of the Baptist Faith and Message. However, the Bible is our only blueprint and final authority in all doctrine and practice.
